Semi Impact Forum 2024
Shaping the future of semiconductor industry with leaders, innovators and policy makers
The Royal Society, London
June 14, 2024
ABOUT SEMI IMPACT
The purpose of Semi Impact is to bring together corporates, investors, policy makers, and innovators to share knowledge, engage in thought-provoking conversations, and collaborate to advance the semiconductor industry.
Semiconductor is the backbone of our technology world, and all future technologies, from AI and autonomous cars to biomedical breakthroughs and space technology, rely on semiconductor innovation.
Semi Impact provides a platform for attendees to discuss the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in the semiconductor industry and its geopolitical implications.
This forum marks our inaugural event and we are immensely grateful for the substantial support received from Tech London Advocate as our partner. It is our hope that Semi Impact will evolve into a staple annual event, serving as a global junction connecting industry leaders and facilitating crucial discussions within the semiconductor sector.
THIS YEAR ABOUT SEMI IMPACT 2024
- Featuring in-depth conversations with our special guest, Professor Konrad Young, ex-director of R&D at TSMC, Semi Impact 2024 will cover topics from the global semiconductor landscape, Europe’s position, Taiwan’s role, and semiconductor innovations fueled by startups.
- Showcasing exciting semiconductor innovation in AI and biomedical innovation.
- Unlike other semiconductor conferences, Semi Impact aims to facilitate collaboration-driven, in-depth interactions among industry leaders and innovators between Taiwan and Europe.

SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER OF HONOR
We are thrilled to inform you that Professor Konrad Young will be the dream headliner speaker for Semi Impact Forum 2024. He was a director of R&D at TSMC and one of the six pioneering R&D leaders who laid the groundwork for TSMC's success. After leaving TSMC, he joined SMIC (Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation), the largest state-owned semiconductor foundry in China, before moving to Intel, another semiconductor giant, as a senior advisor.
Professor Konrad Young
National Taiwan University
Professor Young's unique experiences across the semiconductor landscapes in Taiwan, China, and the US make him the ideal speaker to discuss the future of semiconductors in Europe and the UK, especially in light of TSMC's expansion into Germany.
Currently, he is teaching leadership at National Taiwan University and has a special passion for nurturing innovation and startups. He is frequently consulted on Taiwan’s semiconductor-related policy and innovation initiatives.
KEY SPEAKERS
Our speakers are eminent industry visionaries, influential policymakers, and groundbreaking innovators participating in Semi Impact keynote addresses and panel discussions. In 2023, we had the honor of hosting speakers from arm, PSMC, IMEC, Innovate UK and more. This year for Semi Impact Forum 2024, we are truly honored to have a diverse lineup of professionals, top experts and leaders from various fields to share their expertise and insights.
